Belfair State Park, Belfair Washington
Belfair State Park is a wonderful park on the shores of Hood Canal in Washington state. Today the water is a brilliant color of aqua. Unusual for the canal any time of year. The tide is very low and tourists and locals are walking and exploring the low tide pools, clams and oyster beds. Cooking meals on barbecues, walking their dogs, hiking, all under the bluest skies and sunshine one could imagine. It is a day use park and overnight facility. Close to the seaside city of Belfair, with restaurants, grocery stores, basic small town amenities... This is only about 2 hours from the Seattle area and is well worth the drive for the day or a camping trip on a weekend. Another favorite of mine!

Mukilteo, Washington
This is perhaps my favorite City by the Sea in the Pacific Northwest. My Grandparents resided there for about sixty years. The charm, ambiance, natural beauty and spectacular views continue to amaze me. Even though there have been many changes and will be more in the future I will always have great memories of the days I spent there. The quaint coffee shops, library, schools, boutiques and restaurants all give Mukilteo its special charm! Hope you can visit there in the future..

Belfair, Washington...
Belfair is a small, small town on the end side of Hood Canal. Famous for Belfair state park. A truly unique group of small businesses, restaurants and country lifestyle. An adventure awaits in the small community based by the sea. Spend a day or a weekend!

Tahuya, Washington...quaint, small and charming , by Hood Canal, Washington
This is a great place to spend the afternoon. This is a quiet, peaceful area with homes, a county park and trails nearby. Pack a lunch and relax, it is very lovely and all nature! Tahuya, is a great find for the person who wants to get away from it all. About two and one half hours from Seattle driving.

Cities by the sea...
On a sunny day in Washington a person can experience nature at its finest. Our small seaside cities are so quaint and charming. One of my favorites is Allyn. Very small but oh so scenic...A coastal bay area, park , gazebo and public dock. Tourists can visit a local restaurant, rent a kayak and visit a small store, other gift shops as well. A great destination for a spring or summer day! Enjoy...
